Mutombo Coffee ™
The Face of African Coffee
I believe we are all born with a purpose and a passion that influence everything we do. Passion and purpose are what drove me to become an NBA player and Hall of Famer. Even today, passion and purpose are what drive me as a businessman, philanthropist, and global humanitarian to continue to work tirelessly for the people of my native country – The Democratic Republic of Congo. And, while doing so, I’ve recently discovered a new passion – coffee. But, not just any coffee — the best African coffee.
My brand pays homage to my days as an All-Star player with the Denver Nuggets. After living in the Mile-High City and playing the first five seasons of my career there, Denver holds a special place in my heart. It is where a significant amount of my basketball legacy was created and where I perfected my signature finger wag.
#55 is the number of my jersey that I wore throughout my career. And it now hangs in retirement at the Pepsi Center in Denver and in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
As you enjoy your sip of Mutombo African Coffee ™, please know that you’re supporting our Women in Coffee Initiative. Through WIC we invest in coffee-related assets of sustainable farms that grow the best African coffee. These farms are where we responsibly source our beans and where women serve as the glue in their communities.
Furthermore, through our WIC Initiative, we help export-ready coffee farms introduce and deliver their specialty beans to the international market. Therefore, they can command better prices and improve their quality of life.
The road to bring you our specialty coffee is truly a labor of love for me and my Mutombo Coffee ™ family. And, we wholeheartedly invite you to partake in a uniquely delicious cup and share our coffee journey with us.
Please join our mission, spread the word, and scan the QR code on your bag to replenish your coffee!
With coffee love,
Dikembe Mutombo

Dikembe Mutombo’s #55 Champion’s Edition Barrel Aged Coffee
Mutombo Coffee™ pays homage to my days as an NBA player. My love for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and delicious African coffee inspire me to share this special coffee with you.
The Arabica coffee beans in our #55 Champion’s Edition are grown on volcanic soil at an altitude of over 5,000 feet, between Lake Kivu and the Mitumba mountain range, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The oak barrel aging transforms this distinctly Congolese mix of orange flavor and dark chocolate aroma into an alcohol-free coffee with an enduring American bourbon finish. The medium roast makes it suitable for all brewing methods. It’s a drink for craft coffee and whiskey lovers, alike. If you want to taste some of the best African coffee in the world – this is it!
We are the Face of African Coffee and we proudly support projects that improve the economic sustainability of the DRC coffee farming communities where our beans are sourced.
Brew the perfect cup with our Barrel Aged Brew Guide.

Mutombo Coffee™ Testimonials

Mutombo Coffee gets an A+ from me for its flavor, balance, acidity and body. I'm hooked on the Banana Pudding and Pecan Praline for now but I know I'll love the others, too.
So, this is better than me putting my chocolate cake into the blender. And no need for a spoon!
The Deke's House Blend just became my favorite breakfast blend. Great coffee DIkembe!
I love the French Vanilla the best! It feels good to drink delicious African coffee and know that I'm supporting the farmers too.
Hey Dikembe. no,no,no,no! No bad coffee in my house! 🙂
"I have never had a Cinnamon Bun Coffee. And this coffee is the best!"
The Barrel Aged Coffee is so rich and districtive. I love the whiskey bourbon taste without the alcohol.
The Terrific Tanzanian is perfect as a pour over iced coffee. I plan on drinking that all summer long.
